İhsân

İhsân moves between the act of goodness and the thing goodness leaves behind. Sami gives it as gracious treatment, giving or bestowing, the gift itself, and also favour, care and generosity.

In one word, goodness becomes both action and object: something done, and something received.

In the Mestûr collection, words from Şemseddin Sami’s Kâmus-ı Türkî reappear as singular artworks on their own historic pages, carrying language, memory, and gesture into the present.
