INSAN 007 embraces the unpredictable nature of making. A fracture that occurred during the life of the piece was not concealed; instead, it was emphasized through a kintsugi-inspired restoration with genuine gold leaf. The golden seam turns damage into part of the work’s history, deepening the idea of “Insan” as a meditation on resilience, memory, and the beauty carried by scars.
Finish: High-gloss botanical green glaze with a kintsugi-inspired gold leaf restoration.
Medium: Hand-carved ceramic mounted on a transparent plexiglass base.
